Vestar to Manage Washington Retail Center
Vestar, a real estate company specializing in the acquisition of entertainment-retail centers, is the new manager of The Landing. The property is a 607,000-square-foot shopping mall located in Renton, Wash., and represents the second asset managed by Vestar in the Pacific Northwest. The company also owns and manages James Center, a 140,240-square-foot retail center in Tacoma, Wash.
“Vestar will add significant value to the property through our strategic leasing, management and marketing services. Seattle is an important market for us and we are excited to continue our growth in the Pacific Northwest,” said Patrick McGinley, Vestar president of management services, in prepared remarks.
The center is located at 828 N. 10th Place and serves Renton’s population of more than 100,000 residents. It can be easily reached from Interstate 405, which connects Renton to Seattle. Sound Transit and King County Metro provide several transit options to and from The Landing, according to the center’s website. The shopping mall is home to several national and local retailers, as well as dining and entertainment businesses such as Target, Dicks Sporting Goods, Regal Cinemas, Marshall’s and LA Fitness.
