Vestar Promotes Jeff Axtell to Executive Vice President and Regional Manager

Jeff Axtell has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Regional Manager at Vestar, a real estate firm. In this role, Axtell will oversee the company’s West Coast operations in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. This includes acquisitions and dispositions of property, as well as development and management of assets.

In the past four years, Vestar has acquired over $1 billion of retail properties, including 2.5 million square feet on the West Coast such as Village at Orange, Riverside Plaza, Peninsula Center and The District at Green Valley Ranch.

“Jeff is a proven leader at Vestar and throughout the retail industry, having successfully overseen the acquisition and development of several significant properties in the past few years,” said David Larcher, President of Vestar. “We are confident in his ability to deliver significant results and achieve the growth we expect from our company.”

Axtell joined Vestar in 1997 as Project Director and has been responsible for the acquisition of approximately $350 million of retail centers and the development of more than five million square feet.
